The site is on two levels, and there is full disabled access to the main buildings and displays. Access for wheelchairs to the higher level Lime Kilns and water softening plant can be organised with advanced notice.

Ladies and Gents toilet facilities are on site in the original building.

Gift shop

The Kiosk carries a range of gifts, books, toys, stationery and greetings cards to complete your visit.

Car Parking

We have ample FREE car parking adjacent to the Waterworks. Look for our signs and stewards as you drive along Hazeley Road.

Public Transport

South West Trains provide a two-hourly service to Shawford on Sundays and the Waterworks is a 30 minute walk. Winchester has a frequent service from London, Southampton and Reading. Our May and October Open Days offer a free bus service from Winchester railway station. There are also taxis available from Winchester station.

We regret that Stagecoach no longer operates any bus service to Twyford on Sundays.
