Please note that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards, but are happy to take cash or cheques.

 

A warm welcome awaits you in the Tea Room!Refreshments:

The tea room is situated in the main building and is open on every Open Day and guided tour day from 10.45am serving a selection of hot and cold drinks, home made cakes, sandwiches, soup, snacks and confectionery.

 

Disabled Access:

The site is on two levels, and there is full disabled access to the main buildings and displays. Access for wheelchairs to the higher level Lime Kilns and water softening plant can be organised with advanced notice.

Although there are no disabled toilets at present, it is possible to use the Ladies toilet for those less mobile.

Ladies and Gents toilet facilities are on site in the original building.

 

 

Gift shop

The Kiosk carries a range of gifts, books, toys, stationery and greetings cards to complete your visit.

 

Car Parking

We have ample FREE car parking adjacent to the Waterworks. Look for our signs and stewards as you drive along Hazeley Road.

 

Public Transport

South West Trains provide a two-hourly service to Shawford on Sundays and the Waterworks is a 30 minute walk. Winchester has a frequent service from London, Southampton and Reading. Our May and October Open Days offer a free bus service from Winchester railway station. There are taxis available from Winchester station.

 

Stagecoach operate an infrequent bus service 69 from Winchester on Sundays.
