A guided tour around the whole site to discover how Twyford Waterworks has provided clean water for generations of Hampshire people, and a chance to see ‘behind the scenes’. The tours are suitable for all ages, but please note that there are steps in places. Each tour will last approximately 1 - 1½ hours and will take you on a journey from various methods of water extraction through softening and filtering, describing the techniques and explaining the machinery which form part of this fascinating aspect of our heritage. Stay after the tour to enjoy our tea room and the site at your leisure. Tours start every 30 minutes from 11.00am.

Something for everyone! At least three industrial narrow gauge locomotives in operation on the kiln and quarry railways (please note: rides not given). Wood carving and lace making plus visiting classic tractors. The Waterworks will be fully open with restored machinery in operation. |
